Vientiane, 12 December 2008: Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) launched its first branch overseas in Laos. The Sacombank Laos Branch is located at 175/02 Ban Hatsady-Tai, District Chanthaboury in the capital city of Vientiane. On the same day, Sacombank celebrates the “Sacombank marathon for public health” in Vientiane, jointly with the Laos Youth Union and Laos National Television.
The city of Vientiane is an important trade, culture and political corridor of Laos. The Laos Branch provides trade finance, treasury, international money transfer, loan and deposits products and services that are designed for exporters, importers and cross-border traders. Most important is that the Bank ensures quick, safe and secured transaction delivery within and across borders.
Sacombank Laos Branch marks the second foray into the international scene, the first being the Nanning Representative Office in China that opened in January 2008.
