Sacombank organizes marathon tournament in response to Cashless Day 2022

Hanoi, June 19, 2022: In response to the Government's policy on national digital transformation, starting from the initial changes in the payment method, Sacombank cooperated with Tuoi Tre newspaper to organize a marathon race named Cashless Day 2022. This is the third year Sacombank organizes the race and the fourth year in a row that the Bank accompanies the Cashless Day program with the expectation of promoting a more friendly way of modern payment, and at the same time spreading and encouraging the love spirit for sports, physical training and health promotion in the community.

The race has a distance of 5 km around Hoan Kiem lake area, attracting more than 2,000 athletes including Sacombank staff, Tuoi Tre newspaper readers, office workers, students... registered to participate. Athletes are given a t-shirt before the race and a medal right after completing their race. In addition to exciting running activities, Sacombank also arranges experience booths for athletes to visit and try cashless payment methods such as QR payment, touch payment, payment via email. Sacombank Pay app… and receive a canvas bag gift and multi-brand voucher worth VND100,000.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Pham Thanh Ha (Deputy Governor of the State Bank) highly appreciated Sacombank's efforts in implementing and communicating non-cash payment methods. He also said that the "Cashless Day 2022" race is an innovative form of communication when it is possible to combine messages about cashless payments into a mass sports activity, helping to spread the purely technological information becomes easier to remember, understand, and spread, in accordance with the communication principles set by the State Bank and ministries and agencies.
