The partnership between Sacombank and VinFast is expected to drive green consumption, reduce emissions, and promote sustainable development in Vietnam.
Under the program, customers looking to purchase a VinFast electric vehicle can access loans from Sacombank with interest rates starting at just 7.5% per annum for the first 12 months or 8% per annum for the first 24 months. Notably, customers can borrow up to 80% of the vehicle’s value, with loan terms of up to 8 years. In addition, VinFast offers an interest subsidy of 3–4%, significantly reducing financial pressure during the early stages of ownership.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, a Sacombank representative stated: “Our partnership with VinFast is a strategic step in offering financial products that promote sustainable banking. It reflects our strong commitment to aligning with the government and leading industry players to help Vietnam achieve its carbon neutrality goal by 2050.”
In addition to electric vehicle loan incentives, Sacombank is rolling out a range of credit products and programs focused on green consumption and production. A standout offering is the Sacombank Visa Platinum O₂ – the first credit card in Vietnam made from recycled ocean plastic – which features a CO₂ emissions tracker for each transaction. The bank is also actively promoting green credit, offering financing for key production sectors and home loan programs for young customers, with interest rates starting at 6.5%, contributing to broader social welfare.
With the motto “Accompanying Development,” Sacombank will continue collaborating with VinFast Vietnam to expand preferential loans for electric motorbikes and roll out programs supporting the transition to electric vehicles in provinces and cities beyond Hanoi. The bank also remains committed to integrating technology into its products and services, leading the way in green transformation initiatives and fostering sustainable lifestyles across Vietnam.
