Sacombank successfully organized the Congress of Local Trade Union for the term 2023 - 2028

Attending the Congress were Mr. Huynh Van Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the HCMC Labor Confederation; Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Banking Division, Deputy Director cum Chairman of the Trade Union of the SBV, HCMC Branch; Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem - Permanent Vice Chairman of the BOD cum CEO of Sacombank; Mr. Phan Dinh Tue - Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the BOD cum Deputy CEO; Mr. Dao Nguyen Vu - Deputy CEO, Chairman of Sacombank's Trade Union, and 200 delegates representing more than 17,400 members attended the meeting.

The attendees listened to the report summarizing the performance of the term 2019 - 2023, directions and tasks for the term 2023 - 2028, and comments and suggestions on draft documents.

In the last term, under the leadership and direction of the HCMC Labor Confederation, the Party Committee of Sacombank, the Board of Directors, and the Board of Management, Sacombank's Trade Union successfully implemented the Resolution of the General Meeting for the term 2019 - 2023.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of Sacombank's Trade Union concretized the contents of the Resolution into a working program, thereby actively and proactively implementing trade union activities in all aspects; encouraging employees and members to overcome difficulties to successfully complete the Bank's business tasks and build an excellent Sacombank Union.

Sacombank's Trade Union actively grasped the aspirations of employees and members, implemented policies and regimes for employees, as well as promptly resolved problems and recommendations of employees and members. At the same time, Sacombank's Trade Union is always active in organizing and participating in activities launched by the superior Trade Union and the Bank.

The Congress also approved the direction and tasks for the term 2023 - 2028, focusing on innovating the operation in the direction of being proactive, creative, practical, and building a solid trade union organization. Renovating the propaganda and advocacy work, improving political consistency, legal awareness, industrial style, labor discipline, qualifications, and professional skills of members.

Promoting the emulation movement, successfully completing assigned tasks, actively participating with expertise in proposing solutions and effectively saving costs in operations; encouraging employees and members to study and improve their professional skills to meet the requirements and assigned tasks; complying with the rules and properly implementing the office culture, etc.

The HCMC Confederation of Labor also recognized and highly appreciated the activities of Sacombank's Executive Committee. "The results of Sacombank's Trade Union in the last term have contributed to strengthening and enhancing the position of the Trade Union, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of political tasks as well as the Bank's achievements," Mr. Huynh Van Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the HCMC Labor Confederation shared at the Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum CEO of Sacombank highly appreciated the achievements of Sacombank's Executive Committee in the term of 2019 - 2023 with many exciting activities; especially taking care of and organizing activities to improve the mental life of employees and members, well-implemented social security activities and emulation movements, turning Sacombank's into a strong and outstanding Trade Union for many years.

On behalf of the Presidium, Mr. Dao Nguyen Vu - Deputy CEO, Chairman of Sacombank's Trade Union received and noted the opinions of delegates and directions of leaders at all levels in the Document submitted to the Congress. At the same time, assigned tasks to the Trade Union's Executive Committee to study and apply the guidance in the Resolution to organize effective activities in the new term.

With the spirit of objective democratic centralism, the Congress wisely selected and elected the Executive Committee of Sacombank's Trade Union for the term of 2023 - 2028, including 21 members to meet the requirements of the trade union's activities in the new period. Besides, the Congress also elected 2 official delegates to attend the 12th HCMC Trade Union Congress for the term 2023 - 2028.
