Sacombank awards over VND 11 billion in "Nurturing Dreams" Scholarships

Scholarship awarded at Linh Dong Secondary School (HCMC)  

The 2024 scholarship program offers over 4,000 scholarships, each accompanied by a backpack. Specifically, the scholarships for students are valued at VND 1.5 million each, with the opportunity to win up to VND 5 million in the “Sacombank Colors” drawing contest. For university students, full scholarships are valued at VND 75 million each, including one Golden Scholarship worth VND 100 million, along with a job opportunity at Sacombank after graduation.

This year’s scholarship targets secondary and high school students from provinces with Sacombank branches, and second-year university students studying Economics or Information Technology in HCMC, Hanoi, or the Southwest and North Central regions. The eligibility criteria include an academic record of "Good" for the 2023–2024 school year for students, and a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher for university students.

Scholarship awarded at Van Dien Secondary School (Hanoi)

For secondary and high school students, between July and August 2024, Sacombank collaborated with schools to select over 3,900 eligible students nationwide. Additionally, Sacombank organized a drawing contest to encourage creativity and boost students’ morale. On 05/9/2024, during the school opening ceremony, Sacombank awarded over 3,900 scholarships and 60 prizes to students who excelled in the drawing contest.

University students can submit their scholarship applications through the website www.sacombankcareer.com starting in September 2024. Selected applicants will proceed to the “Conquering Round” in November 2024, where they will participate in direct interviews. Sacombank will select 45 students to receive full scholarships (including a backpack) for three consecutive years (VND 25 million/year) until graduation. In addition to the full scholarships, Sacombank will also award 80 one-year scholarships, each valued at VND 10 million, to eligible students from partner universities.

The "Nurturing Dreams" scholarship program has become a familiar community activity, organized by Sacombank annually since 2004 during the new school year. To date, the bank has awarded more than 46,300 scholarships, totaling nearly VND 72 billion.

Besides the scholarships, Sacombank also provides students with opportunities to participate in training activities, career guidance, skill development courses, internships, and job fairs, significantly contributing to education and providing career development opportunities for the younger generation. With the motto "Accompanying Development," Sacombank considers spreading love and sharing with the community as a critical mission alongside its business achievements.

In addition to the "Nurturing Dreams" scholarships, Sacombank has implemented various meaningful activities throughout the year, such as the charity program "Warm Spring," the "Sharing from the Heart" blood donation campaign, and the “Steps for the Community” run. This run, organized in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Federation, has completed 16 stages, attracting thousands of Sacombank employees and young people across the country, successfully contributing to the construction of many community cultural centers for ethnic minorities.
