Upholding the nation's tradition of mutual support and the mission of "Accompanying the development," Sacombank's trade union executive committee called on union members and employees across the system to contribute to supporting people in provinces affected by storms and floods. More than 18,000 union members and employees voluntarily donated at least one day's salary each, amounting to over VND 12.7 billion.

The Sacombank trade union executive committee has transferred the funds to local chapters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the HCMC Federation of Labor to assist affected communities.

Earlier, Sacombank coordinated with local authorities in the provinces of Thai Nguyen and Lao Cai to personally visit and present gifts worth a total of VND 500 million to help residents recover from the damage caused by Storm No. 3. The bank also contributed VND 500 million to a support program for northern provinces initiated by the newspaper Tuoi Tre and joined Tuoi Tre in directly delivering scholarships to students and teachers in heavily flooded areas under the “Preventing Dropout” initiative.

Additionally, Sacombank has introduced several preferential programs for customers affected by storms and floods, such as reducing interest rates by up to 2% per year for existing loans, providing VND 10 trillion in loan funds with minimum interest rates of 4%-5% for new loans, reducing service fees by up to 50%, and waiving early repayment fees for all loans. Sacombank branches in areas hit by storms have also reviewed and assisted customers in finding solutions to restore their production and business activities and stabilize their lives.
