The Digital Transformation award is given to businesses with strong digital capabilities that bring breakthrough changes in operations and customer experience.
The award recognizes Sacombank's long-term digital transformation journey, which it has pursued from the beginning to create a seamless and consistent digital experience for its customers, quickly and conveniently addressing all financial needs. Notably, Sacombank has always been a leader in implementing modern, diverse, and convenient products and services such as: Sacombank Pay, a digital banking application integrating all financial services; eKYC technology allowing the opening of accounts/virtual credit cards within 5 seconds; contactless payment connections with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Garmin Pay; and QR code payment, money transfer, and fast cash withdrawal both domestically and in three markets: Thailand, South Korea, and Cambodia.
To enhance customer connectivity and experience, Sacombank has also launched a new-generation Contact Center platform that integrates AI, operates across multiple channels, and provides 24/7 customer service. Additionally, Sacombank has introduced Smart Transaction Machines (STMs) and is moving towards establishing Digital Transaction Points to give customers access to the latest financial technologies.
The push for digitalization in its business activities has enhanced Sacombank’s brand appeal. The bank now serves nearly 19 million individual and corporate customers, with 67% of them using digital channels. Sacombank's digital transactions have increased nearly sixfold since 2018, reaching 508 million transactions in 2023.
Moreover, Sacombank has continuously digitized its operational systems to improve labor efficiency. Recently, the bank officially implemented a digital process platform across all of its 540+ transaction points nationwide. This platform helps convert most manual operations into automated ones, reduces data errors, shortens transaction completion times by 60%, and lowers operating costs.
These significant digital transformation achievements have also earned Sacombank a series of prestigious awards, including: "Most Innovative Retail Bank in Vietnam 2024" and "Most Innovative Digital Bank in Vietnam 2024" by International Business Magazine (IBM); "Outstanding Digital Bank" by International Data Group (IDG) in collaboration with the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) and various agencies; "Top 100 Innovative, Effective Products and Services of 2024" by Vietnam Investment Review in collaboration with Viet Research; and the Sao Khue 2024 Award for Multimodal Payment Solutions for Enterprises, with a 5-star ranking in the Digital Banking sector.
