Sacombank launches stage 16 of the "Steps for the Community" to support the 2024 summer youth volunteer campaign

Delegates, union members, and youths participate in the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign Launch Ceremony by walking/running to support Stage 16 - Steps for the Community.

After the launch ceremony, participants can visit the website sacombankrunnersclub.com or the Sacombank Runners app to join the run. The program will record results until the end of 16/6/2024.

The goal for Stage 16 is to achieve 1 million km of walking/running. For every kilometer accumulated, Sacombank will contribute VND 1,000, equivalent to VND 1 billion, to the fund for building a community cultural house for the Giay ethnic group in Dong Bu village, Gia Hoi commune, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province.

This will be the 16th community cultural house sponsored by Sacombank. To date, six community cultural houses have been completed and officially serve the activities, cultural exchanges, and traditional festivals of the Lu, Chut, La Ha, Bo Y, Mang, and Lo Lo ethnic groups. The remaining ten cultural houses are expected to be built, completed, and inaugurated to serve the people in the next phase.

The “Steps for the Community” program has been launched nationwide by Sacombank and the Vietnam Youth Federation since 2020 to promote physical exercise and sports to enhance physical and mental health. It also aims to promote the pioneering and volunteer spirit for the community among Sacombank employees and the youth nationwide, in accompanying the ethnic minority communities in Vietnam and preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
