Sacombank reduces loan interest rates by up to 2% per year to support customers affected by storms and floods
19/09/2024In recent days, heavy rains, storms, and flooding have caused significant damage, affecting the livelihoods and business activities of thousands of people and enterprises across northern provinces. The weather continues to present complex challenges in many Central and Central Highlands provinces.
To help residents and businesses recover and resume operations, from now until the end of 2024, Sacombank is reducing loan interest rates by up to 2% per year on both existing and new loan balances. Additionally, the bank is offering a 50% discount on service fees and waiving early repayment fees.
"Sacombank has swiftly informed its branches and transaction offices in the northern, central, and Central Highlands regions to proactively review, assess, and report the extent of the damage and propose measures to support and ease difficulties for affected borrowers," a Sacombank representative stated.
Earlier, in a show of solidarity, Sacombank donated gifts worth VND 500 million to residents in the provinces of Lao Cai and Thai Nguyen. The bank also contributed VND 500 million through a relief program organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper, aimed at helping residents rebuild their lives after the storms.
Additionally, Sacombank’s Trade Union has launched a voluntary donation campaign for all employees, encouraging them to contribute and support the communities affected by the storms. The funds collected will be sent to the HCMC Vietnam Fatherland Front.
