Another international card organization honors SACOMBANK for its digital payment development capabilities

This marks the third card organization to recognize SACOMBANK in the fourth quarter of this year, reaffirming the Bank’s pioneering role in the digital transformation of Vietnam’s banking sector and the expansion of a modern payment ecosystem nationwide.

Specifically, the Distinguished Leadership in Debit Spend award acknowledges SACOMBANK’s leading role in driving card spending through effective sales strategies, attractive promotional programs, a diverse ecosystem, and streamlined card issuance processes. At the same time, SACOMBANK was also presented with the Debit Portfolio Powerhouse award, demonstrating its strong capabilities in managing and diversifying card products aligned with customer consumption behaviors. Currently, SACOMBANK-issued Mastercard products span a wide range of segments—from premium offerings such as the SACOMBANK World Mastercard Credit Card, to mass-market products like SACOMBANK Mastercard credit and debit cards, as well as high-tech solutions such as the SACOMBANK Mastercard Only One, which integrates debit and credit card functions on a single chip. This enables customers to freely choose card products that best suit their needs, delivering a high level of personalization.

Notably, the Transit Payments Excellent award reflects SACOMBANK’s strong technical capabilities, rapid execution, and proactive customer engagement, positioning the Bank as a key partner in HCMC’s smart urban infrastructure upgrade roadmap. As the first bank in Vietnam to deploy an open-loop payment acceptance system across all forms of the city’s public transportation (metro, buses, water buses, etc.), SACOMBANK has helped reduce access barriers and psychological hesitation, offering passengers a simple, fast, secure, and seamless payment experience. In addition, the SACOMBANK Mastercard Multipass Credit Card and SACOMBANK Mastercard Metro Pass, jointly issued by SACOMBANK in collaboration with the Department of Construction and Mastercard, provide customers with additional payment options, making each public transportation journey more convenient and engaging.
