Sacombank affirms its pioneering role in the digital payment sector

The Outstanding Performance Bank 2025 award reaffirms Sacombank’s pioneering position as the Bank ranked at the top across all key evaluation criteria. Over the past year alone, Sacombank processed more than 636 million issuing-side transactions, accounting for 5.8% of market share, along with over 622 million acquiring-side transactions, representing 5.7% of the market. In terms of transaction value, the Bank recorded over VND 4.3 quadrillion on the issuing side (6.9%) and more than VND 4.4 quadrillion on the acquiring side (7.3%). These figures highlight Sacombank’s superior transaction processing capacity, robust technology infrastructure, large-scale operational capabilities, and significant contribution to the overall growth of the national payment system.

In addition to its strong operational performance, NAPAS also recognized Sacombank with the Outstanding Bank with Innovative Service 2025 award for its pioneering role in launching VietQR Global in Singapore. Previously, the Bank successfully enabled QR payments in Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. Its technological agility, rapid integration capability, and effective collaboration with payment infrastructure organizations allow Sacombank to deliver convenient, secure, and cost-effective cross-border payment experiences for customers - thereby contributing to the promotion of trade, tourism, and services between Vietnam and regional countries.

Last month, Sacombank received several major awards from VISA, including Digital Pioneer in Fintech Partnership 2025, Leadership in Merchant Sales Volume, and Leadership in Credit Payment Volume. These consecutive recognitions reflect the Bank’s consistent strategy for comprehensive digital payment development and its strong technical execution capabilities at both the national and international levels.
