Sacombank receives prestigious award from J.P. Morgan – Affirming top-tier international payment processing capability in Vietnam

As Vietnam’s import–export sector continues its robust recovery, the demand for fast, secure, and transparent international transactions has surged. In 2025, Sacombank proactively enhanced its cross-border payment infrastructure, focusing on accelerating message processing speed, improving connectivity with foreign correspondent banks, and reducing errors at the pre-processing stage.

Sacombank was also among the pioneering banks in Vietnam to simultaneously implement two advanced SWIFT international payment solutions: GPI (Global Payments Innovation) and Pre-validation. These solutions enable businesses to track payments in real time and verify beneficiary information before messages are transmitted. Notably, the Bank has successfully completed the early adoption of the SWIFT ISO 20022 (MX message) standard, enabling richer and more structured data transmission. This creates a stronger foundation for automation and significantly reduces the risk of transaction rejection by foreign banks due to formatting inconsistencies or insufficient information.
