SACOMBANK implements hybrid working model in response to energy-saving policy
25/03/2026
In Vietnam, on 19/3/2026, the Prime Minister issued Directive 09/CT-TTg on enhancing energy saving, accelerating the energy transition, and developing electric vehicles, while encouraging government agencies and enterprises to proactively implement suitable solutions.
In response to this policy, SACOMBANK has rolled out a hybrid working model for its back-office divisions starting 26/3/2026. Under this model, employees will alternate between on-site and remote work, tailored to the specific requirements of each position, while ensuring uninterrupted business operations and service quality.
At the same time, the Bank is intensifying the use of technology in management and operations, promoting online meetings, digitizing processes, and improving internal coordination efficiency. These measures help maintain smooth operations while reducing electricity consumption at the office.
A representative from SACOMBANK stated that the flexible working model is not only a solution to adapt to the current energy situation but also aligns with the Bank’s digital transformation and sustainable development strategy. It is also a step toward building a more modern, flexible, and efficient working environment.
The proactive implementation of the hybrid model demonstrates SACOMBANK’s rapid adaptability and translates the spirit of Directive 09/CT-TTg into concrete action. In a policy environment that encourages such initiatives, pioneering moves by businesses are expected to help raise awareness and encourage the wider community to take action.
In the coming period, SACOMBANK will continue to review and evaluate the model to make necessary adjustments based on actual conditions, with the goal of optimizing operations, controlling costs, and using energy more efficiently.
