SACOMBANK launches Click to Pay – Simplifying online payments

With Click to Pay, SACOMBANK Visa cardholders no longer need to manually input their card number, expiration date, or CVV for each purchase. Notably, customers are not required to store card information on e-commerce websites, thereby significantly reducing the risk of data exposure in the digital environment.

At merchant websites displaying the Click to Pay icon, transactions can be completed with just a single click. The streamlined checkout process shortens payment time and enhances overall convenience compared to traditional online card payment methods.

From a security perspective, Click to Pay is powered by the Visa Token Service (VTS), which replaces actual card details with a unique digital token during transactions. This tokenization mechanism, combined with multiple advanced security layers, minimizes fraud risk, strengthens transaction protection, and improves authorization approval rates in e-commerce environments.

The feature also integrates Passkey authentication, enabling password-free verification through biometric methods such as fingerprint recognition or Face ID. Customers complete payments with a single authentication step, eliminating manual OTP entry while enhancing both security and user convenience.

According to Visa, Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to roll out Click to Pay, with SACOMBANK among the pioneering banks implementing the feature for both card issuance and payment acceptance.

Currently, SACOMBANK Visa cardholders can use Click to Pay seamlessly at participating global e-commerce merchants. In Vietnam, early adopters include British Council, LG Electronics Vietnam, PVI Insurance, Galaxy Cinema, KOI Thé, alongside other brands in retail, entertainment, and education. The network of participating merchants is expected to expand further to meet diverse consumer needs.
