SACOMBANK successfully upgrades to the latest global Core Banking version T24 R25
04/05/2026
The T24 R25 Core Banking upgrade process was implemented carefully and efficiently, with minimal impact on customers
Within a bank’s technology architecture, the Core Banking system is often regarded as the “heart” of operations, responsible for receiving, processing data, and coordinating all transactions. With more than 19 million customers and an enormous daily transaction volume, SACOMBANK faced a major challenge: how to complete a large-scale technology transformation across the entire Bank while maintaining stable transaction flows. The answer lay in the expertise of its workforce, along with the resilience and experience of a brand that has repeatedly established itself as a pioneer on Vietnam’s banking technology landscape.
The implementation plan was carefully designed around a key principle: minimizing customer impact to the greatest extent possible. SACOMBANK proactively segmented services, maintained essential transactions such as QR payments, card services, transfers, and ATMs, while also selecting the 30 April – 1 May holiday period to reduce disruption for corporate customers. Hundreds of employees worked around the clock to simultaneously upgrade the core system and more than 20 satellite systems. Notably, SACOMBANK independently manages the entire Core Banking architecture and internally develops up to 70% of its application features.
The deployment of T24 R25 enables SACOMBANK to access one of the world’s most advanced core banking technology platforms, while significantly improving system performance, customer experience, and security standards.

The Bank’s leadership directly supervised and encouraged the implementation teams throughout the 30 April – 1 May holiday period.
Specifically, the new system operates on a private cloud platform capable of automatically scaling capacity based on actual demand, rather than being constrained by fixed infrastructure as before. SACOMBANK has also adopted a streamlined core system approach by separating supporting functions into independent processing modules. As a result, customer response times remain stable even during peak periods such as holidays and festivals, while the time required to launch new products has been significantly reduced.
In particular, the T24 R25 version integrates end-to-end security from development to operations, enhancing customer data protection and minimizing transaction risks. The new version also improves the interface and user experience for internal users, helping optimize workflows, shorten processing times, and improve customer service efficiency across both branch and digital channels.

A SACOMBANK representative shared: “Upgrading our Core Banking system to the latest version is not only a technological advancement, but also a foundation for SACOMBANK to restructure its operating model toward greater flexibility, security, and efficiency. On this platform, we will continue developing modern financial services with high personalization capabilities and faster responsiveness to increasingly diverse customer needs.”
In the context of a rapidly evolving market, becoming a pioneer in mastering the latest generation of global Core Banking technology places SACOMBANK among the banks with the most advanced technology foundations, ready to contribute to accelerating the digital transformation of Vietnam’s banking industry in the coming years.
