Running to raise funds to build a cultural house for the Ro Mam ethnic community

Stage 13 - "Steps for the Community," scheduled from 14/10 to 05/112023
Subsequent to the launch event, athletes from all corners of the country can access the website sacombankrunnersclub.com or the Sacombank Runners application to partake in Stage 13. The registration portal will be open for recording results until 05/11/2023.
The mission of Stage 13 is to collectively achieve 1 million kilometers of walking/running. For every kilometer clocked by the participants, Sacombank will contribute VND 1,000. This amounts to a total of VND 1 billion earmarked for the construction of a community cultural house for the Ro Mam ethnic group in Kon Tum province. In the previous Stage 12 (12/8 – 03/9), over 14,000 athletes from across the nation participated, surpassing the set target of 1.1 million kilometers. This achievement translated to a contribution of VND 1.1 billion for the development of a community cultural center for the Cong ethnic people in Lai Chau province.

In September, the inauguration and use of the La Ha ethnic community cultural house project in Hien village, Liep Te commune, Thuan Chau district, Son La province took place. The cultural house features a modern design, encompassing an area of over 20 square meters, and reflects the cultural identity of the La Ha ethnic community. Its construction costs, exceeding VND 1 billion, were funded from the proceeds of Phase 4 of the "Steps for the Community" program.
Following the launch event, all attendees, along with 500 union members, members, and young people from Thai Nguyen province, actively participated in walking and jogging in response to Stage 13 of "Steps for the Community."
The "Steps for the Community" initiative, jointly launched by Sacombank and the Vietnam Youth Federation in 2020 on a nationwide scale, serves to promote the importance of exercise and sports in enhancing both physical and mental well-being. Simultaneously, it encourages the spirit of initiative and volunteerism within Sacombank employees and the youth of the country, reinforcing their commitment to supporting and preserving the traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities in Vietnam.
