SACOMBANK reviews first-half 2026 performance: Strengthening foundations, ready to accelerate

An overview of SACOMBANK’s Mid-Year Business Review Conference, reviewing business performance for the first six months and outlining key priorities for the second half of 2026.
Against a backdrop of continued market volatility and growing demands for transformation across the banking sector, the conference provided an opportunity to review the Bank’s achievements during the first half of the year, assess emerging opportunities and challenges, and align on key directions and solutions to advance SACOMBANK’s sustainable development objectives.
Strengthening the foundation for a new phase of growth
The Bank’s performance during the first six months of 2026 was reviewed comprehensively across multiple dimensions, from organizational structure and governance to business operations and digital transformation. During this period, SACOMBANK achieved several important milestones, including strengthening its organizational structure and leadership team, changing its trade name to Saigon Treasure Bank, relocating its Head Office to a new financial center, and launching the SACOMBANK Culture Handbook to further promote the Bank’s core values and foster alignment in mindset and action across the organization.
Business operations remained stable, with the Bank further strengthening its asset base, credit portfolio and funding, while serving more than 20.4 million customers. SACOMBANK also proactively increased provisioning and improved its non-performing loan coverage ratio, further reinforcing its financial resilience and laying a foundation for sustainable growth. At the same time, the Bank continued to accelerate its digital transformation through the successful upgrade of its T24 R25 Core Banking system, the launch of SAMI, a digital assistant on the SACOMBANK Pay application, the expansion of its Open Banking ecosystem and the development of a range of modern payment solutions. By the end of June 2026, nearly 96% of total transactions were conducted through digital channels, with the number of digital customers exceeding 6.24 million, up 16.2% year-on-year.

Alongside these achievements, leaders of the Bank’s business divisions and functional units shared key developments in their respective areas, analyzed emerging opportunities and challenges, and proposed solutions to enhance business performance, strengthen coordination across the organization and advance the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Ms. Tran Thuy Hang, Corporate Banking Director, highlights the role of innovation in the Bank’s corporate customer development strategy, strengthening competitiveness, expanding market share and adapting flexibly to evolving market trends.

Mr. Luu Danh Duc, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Information Technology, introduces strategic directions for the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to optimize processes, enhance management efficiency, improve productivity and create a foundation for the Bank’s accelerated growth.

Mr. Le Duc Thinh, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Human Resources and Internal Services, shares directions for building a high-quality workforce through modern management policies, capability development, talent attraction and retention.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Faussier Loic Michel Marc, Chief Executive Officer of SACOMBANK, shared his perspectives on the evolving financial and banking landscape, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. He emphasized the importance of embracing new ways of thinking, strengthening management capabilities and enhancing adaptability to build a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

One of the highlights of the conference was a corporate culture workshop themed “The House of Culture,” led by Mr. Le Duc Thinh, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Human Resources and Internal Services. The workshop offered in-depth perspectives on the role of corporate culture in SACOMBANK’s development journey, reaffirming that culture is not only a bond that connects people but also a foundation for nurturing innovation, inspiring aspirations for contribution and creating the internal strength needed for the Bank to adapt and break through in a changing environment.

Through open discussions and exchanges, participants recognized that corporate culture should extend beyond a set of established values and must instead be brought to life through daily actions, a strong sense of responsibility and the collective commitment of every employee.
